Elia Alovisi has extended experience as a music editor, journalist and creative consultant, He is based in Milan, has been part of Spotify’s editorial team since 2020 and curates playlists and listening experiences across genres and countries. Prior to that, he was the Editor-in-Chief of Noisey Italia, VICE’s music vertical.

At Spotify, Elia works at the intersection of music culture and tech. As an editor, he works cross-functionally with personalization, marketing, PR and sales teams to unlock the potential of human creativity. His focus is on artist discovery, algo-based recommendations, data analysis, music export and equity. 

As a journalist, he has covered artists and scenes across genres both in written and video form, racking up millions of clicks and views. He started out at the historic Italian magazine Rumore and eventually came to lead Noisey Italia as it became one of the most recognizable and successful music media in the country. 

Elia graduated with distinction from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, and has a master in Media, Culture and Education at UCL London.
